South Africa even modernized many with powerful turboprop engines to create the unique “Turbo Dak,” extending its life into the 21st century. No aircraft has a longer or more storied service record in South Africa than this twin-engine marvel. It represents the backbone of logistics and the enduring spirit of classic flight. The Dakota Cap features a bold design of the airframe on the front panel, with the SAAF insignia and motto on the side and back panels.
